WISCONSIN BROADCAST CLINIC IS NOW THE MIDWEST REGIONAL BROADCAST CLINIC

Not only is the Wisconsin Broadcast Clinic now rebranded as the Midwest Regional Clinic, but this year it'll be joining forces with the SBE National, which will be holding a membership meeting on September 11.

This strategic move is a recognition that this particular showe has a reach that goes beyond Wisconsin, and that's a good thing, among other things, because it is absoluttely true.

The event is taking place at the Madison Marriott West, starting on September 10th.

We will be showcasing some new and exciting broadcast connectivity products, including custom panels, tactical SMPTE camera cable, CAT6 etherCON snakes, 12G assemblies, and AVFlex Sound and Lighting Cables.

8 a.m. CST – Fiber Optic Cables for HD Broadcast

This presentation provides an overview of the practical applications for fiber optics in HD AV and broadcast, including an online demonstration of fiber termination, cleaning, and testing. We will discuss the different types of fiber optic cables, connectors, and media converters used in AV applications, including SMPTE, opticalCON, and Tactical Fiber products. We will also cover installation considerations and maintenance, for inside plant, arenas and other venues, studios, and mobile use. We will discuss termination, cleaning, and testing procedures including interferometry and insertion loss.
