What to evaluate

Questions that reveal system-level risk

Before selecting or replacing product, evaluate where the signal path is most vulnerable in actual use.

Where is the cable being touched?

Handling points, patch panels, rack exits, and equipment endpoints usually deserve more attention than the middle of the run.

Where does the route force compromise?

Look for places where the physical path introduces bend, pull, compression, access limits, or future service challenges.

Can the path be serviced later?

If the next technician cannot trace, access, or replace the path efficiently, the system has a built-in failure cost.
