TYPES OF COAXIAL CABLE
- Rigid coaxial cable: This type of cable cannot be bent and is used mainly in Television and FM broadcasting systems.
- Hardline coaxial cable: Typically of larger diameter than other cables, the Hardline coaxial's conductor is made of copper and silver.
- Flexible coaxial cable: Surrounded by a flexibile polymer, this type of cable offers greater flexibility but is typically found in smaller diameters.
- Semi-rigid coaxial cable: The outer layer of this cable is made of Polytetrafluoroethylene while carryinh a solid copper conductor.
- Formable coaxial cable: It's flexible metal exterior sheath offers a reliable alternative to the semi-rigid cable.
- Twinaxial cable: Use mainly in low frequency digital and video transmissions, the twinaxial cable has two central conductors and a single outer core and dielectric.
- Triaxial cable: Use mainly for its reliability of shielding external noise due to its additional copper braid. Triax, as it is commonly known, this cable offers greater bandwidth.
