Type C Series Connectors
Used in industrial, and military and aerospace applications, the C Type series connector is a weatherproof medium size connector with a coupling two-stud bayonet lock. It has a constant 50 ohm impedance and performs well up to 11 GHz. The C Series is designed for same size cable as N types, except that coupling mechanisms and peak withstanding voltages are different. While N Types have threaded coupling connectors and have a peak voltage of 1000 volts, C types are bayonet -locking and can withstand 1500 volts peak. This series has a quick disconnect coupling. There is a small subgroup within the series that is a high voltage type with a 3000 VRMS rating that can be used from DC to 2 GHz. These items are intermateable with the standard C series connectors.
